Autumn's arrival

*********************************************************************************

In looking back at the last blog post here I shudder that it has been so long. I used to be quite good at posting more regularly but having three blogs now seems to have added to my weak schedule. I need to work on this.

Summer finally ended and yet the climate has not changed a great deal. It was up to 86° yesterday and the "Indian Summer" we are having seems to be holding on. While I enjoy the sunshine some days, cloud cover is welcome and I won't be too upset with cloudy, rainy weather when it arrives. Can you believe I'm already hearing rumblings from some folks about rain that hasn't even started to fall yet? Why is that? Really? Seems some people are not living in the right part of the country. :-)

Ok, ok...I whined about the heat a bit this summer. I admit it, I dislike it. But it WAS the hottest we've ever had EVER and is not something that happens here very often. So at least I feel I was within my rights to complain a little about it. The rain and cool or moderate climate however....it is the norm here.

From what the weather gurus say about the impending doom of liquid sunshine, we will probably see a shift in the next few weeks. Just in time for the fall colours to really stand out.

My new business, Dragon Digital, has been slowly gaining ground in images produced and while it is going to be a time consuming process, I have hopes of eventually making some money at it. Some have already been asking me "How much have you made?" and " Why are you not doing more?". Really? Wow. Does one just ask things like that and expect a calm answer of " Well, things like this don't just happen over night", like it's a restaurant that's open for business and anyone simply walks in to order prints or time from the photographer.
It is true indeed that things take time and I'm not killing myself to get my name out there I admit it.
Any job that makes one spend huge amounts of time and stress to make some $$$ is not one I want and hope to never have again.
